I’m an Early Childhood and Elementary Learning and Literacy Specialist.
For the past 16 years, I’ve worked in mainstream and special education preschools and elementary schools in New York, California, and Connecticut.
As an expert in language-based learning disabilities and early childhood development, I collaborate with schools to improve the quality and scope of their teaching and learning. Together, we ensure classrooms are attentive to diverse learning profiles and utilize the latest research and developmentally-appropriate practices to promote joyful, inclusive environments.
I also work privately with children with dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities and provide targeted intervention in Orton Gillingham and other evidence-based, multi-sensory reading, writing, and math programs.
I’m the co-founder of How Now, a company that publishes engaging and evidence-based books for beginning readers and provides consulting and professional development to educators and parents. Cat and Tad, our first volume in a series of decodable books for early readers, came out in November, 2024. (More on How Now here!)
I write a monthly newsletter for How Now with tips for parents, caregivers, and educators on supporting young children’s learning, which you can subscribe to here, and I regularly share this information on instagram and facebook as well.
